Maumere to Alor

10 Days - 9 Nights

Cruising along these beautiful giants will allow you to witness some tribal dances or making "Ikat" in the local villages

This area is also a diver paradise with big Pelagics and world known for carpet of anemones on the sea floor. Anchoring next to “pura” you will enjoy to swim with the local kids coming to check you out with their hand made googles and natural big smile

Tanjung Darat

Day 1

Arriving on Maumere airport, we will have a short 15 minutes drive to the bay where the boat is anchored. While having your lunch, we will cruise to Tanjung Darat. There we can have a nice wall dive and see ribbon eel and eagle ray. Snorkeling around these clear water is also very rewarding. 

Watublapi Village

Day 2

This morning, after breakfast , we will go ashore to visit a traditional village (45 min drive). Watublapi a village where the locals still make their clothes with the traditional woven machine. A throughout process from making the thread to the finishing and coloring the fabric can be seen in watublapi. Afternoon we will be back onboard to enjoy watersport. In the night we will cruise to Batu Payung or Umbrella rock 

Batu Payung and Danau Asmara

Day 3

Batu Payung is a wonderful diving site with dramatic wall dive. It
also has a beautiful beach perfect for sunset cocktails and barbecue dinner. Early in the morning, we can trek to reach lake Asmara. Lake Asmara (Amour lake) it has a legend where a couple decided to take their life there because of both families’ disagreement of their love for each other. Known as a place with lots of crocodiles, the couple’s bodies remain intact after the suicide and the locals believed that the crocodiles in the lake are the incarnation of their ancestors. 

Tajung Wotang

Day 4

Muck diving area. We can easily spend 4 dives in here. Also, good area to use the watersports.

Komba (volcano Island)

Day 5 & 6

Komba island is a small isolated volcanic island located in Flores Sea, Indonesia. The island contains Mount Batutara, a volcano which erupts in every 20 minutes. The Komba island is also a great diving site as the water is very clear.

Tanjung Bajatan

Day 7

A great spot to do a night dive. Tanjung bajatan has dramatic wall dive

with very clear water and abundant water species. From its sheltered bay, you can be able to see five different volcanoes in range. This bay is a great area to do the watersports.

Pantar Island (east)

Day 7

This day we will explore the remote islands east of Pantar. These islands are excellent for hiking, fishing, kayaking and diving. There are many lovely beaches in the area if guests just want to relax. Overnight cruise to the Pura Island.

Pura Island (anemone carpet)

Day 9

This is the only place in the world where 5 meters to 40 meters deep in the water are covered with Anemone. In a lucky day, we can see some treasure sharks. Since the water here are so clear, we can see the traditional fishing cage from the local fishermen. Another interesting activity in here is to see the seacow (dugong), with the permission of the “dugong explorer”.

Kalabahi (dancing tribe and night dive)

Day 10

Arriving at Kalabahi, the main city of the island. We will be able to visit the traditional tribe village in Latifui or optionally to snorkel or dive in many amazing spots in Alor.

Alor

Day 11

Enjoy the last day in Alor with a good dive in the morning. After brunch, our crew will bring you to the airport for your next voyage.
